The Everlasting Tantrum

The Lore:

A fuzz pedal between two well-known names in the guitar effects pedal business that never came to fruition — until now. The Everlasting Tantrum is an enhanced version of the unreleased pedal with a few additions. Why The Everlasting Tantrum name and not a cryptid? Simple, throw in the oscillation and it can sound like a tantrum is being thrown.

The Details:

We love nasty fuzzes and this fuzz can get nasty built with three MPSA18s and one 2N2907A you know it is gonna be fun. Add in a mid-70s ram’s head tone stack (plus the ability to bypass it) and the ability to induce self-oscillation you can get wild.

To get you started, my favorite settings for this pedal are: input - dimed, tone bypassed, mode set in the center, oscillation set right before it begins to self-oscillate and volume set to taste. Now dig in and play - your playing will push the fuzz into oscillation bringing an additional flavor to your fuzz.

Controls:

• Level - the output volume of the effect
• Input - trim the input into the effect
• Tone - a ram’s head tilt tone control
• Oscillation - add oscillation to the fuzz circuit, it is interactive with Input
• Bypass - removes the tone controls from the circuit giving you full-on chaos
• Mode - choose between three flavors of fuzz

Power Requirements:

• 9V DC, negative-tip (Boss-style), not included
• 10mA current draw when active
• No batteries (got to keep Mother Earth healthy for the cryptids 👽)
